The PTSA is an energetic and active organization of parent volunteers working together to financial support many of the enrichment programs at BMMS. We encourage all parents to contribute, however they can, to the PTSA to enhance the school experience for our children.

Our Goals

Black Mountain Middle School PTSA 2017-2018 Goals

  1. Membership
    • Continue to increase parent, staff and student membership
    • How:  provide incentive for participation, membership drive, PTSA website, “Raider Reminder” weekly email updates, visual displays, morning announcement, Spring membership drive
  2. Hassle-Free Fundraising
    • Raise enough money to cover the cost of all the programs that BMMS PTSA sponsors
    • How:  Registration packet flyer, “Raider Reminder” weekly email, Back To School Night, PTSA website
  3. Community Outreach
    • Sponsor new and innovative community programs, workshops, and family nights
    • How:  Family Safety & Wellness, Internet Safety, New Parent Info Meeting, host PUSD district workshops
  4. Volunteerism
    • Fill all vacant chair positions and encourage volunteerism school wide
    • How:  Advertise open positions through PTSA website, Connect-Ed, registration, and VolunteerSpot.  Inform incoming 6th grade parents of volunteer opportunities at BMMS Parent Orientation.  Inform all parents and students of volunteer opportunities school wide.

 

Association Meetings

BMMS Library 7-8pm
(meetings start promptly so please arrive by 6:50pm)

Association meetings are open to all who wish to attend, but you must be a current BMMS PTSA member in order to vote or make a motion. Membership is only $11 for adults and $7 for students. Children accompanied by an adult member are welcome. Please bring a book for them to read or something for them to do quietly during the meeting. Childcare is NOT provided. Light refreshments will be served.

Executive Board Meetings are closed meetings. If you are not a board member and would like to attend as a guest, please contact the PTSA President at least 24 hours prior to the meeting for approval.
