All Black Mountain Middle School students are welcome to participate in PTSA sponsored programs. The enrichment programs include:
Adopt a Family
Promote and organize donations of holiday gifts for PUSD families in need.
A Fall and Spring after school program where under direction of parent volunteers, students can express themselves creatively through a variety of structured art projects. Several art media will be explored. Try your hand at clay, charcoal, drawing, and/or painting.
The PTSA provides sports equipment for all students to borrow during their lunch period.
Scholastic Book Fair for all students to purchase books, gifts, etc. in which the proceeds will be donated to the BMMS library.
Character Counts Program
Basic Education teachers nominate one student per month to receive the PTSA’s Character Counts reward. Students earn the reward by demonstrating one of the six Character Counts Pillars. The students receive a t-shirt and certificate.
Reflections Art Program
An art and literature program sponsored by the PTSA in which students submit art work to be judged at the school level and some proceed onto the council, district and state level. Learn more about this years theme.
Join the BMMS Running Raiders Cross Country Team. Come make new friends, get outside, improve your fitness, participate in x-country meets, burn some energy, and most of all have a lot of fun! We welcome all levels of runners. Your coaches will encourage you to run at your own pace, set goals, eat healthy, and run safe. The practices will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays 2:30 – 3:25. Academy students who join will attend Running Raider practices in lieu of PE.
